Emissions from an electronic integrated circuit on a PCB

EMC and signal integrity in today’s products is an important consideration right from concept.

At Templetronics, when considering system and circuit design, right from the early concept stages we think about EMC, PI and SI issues when doing a design. Our system, board and even SoC designs are performed with both EMC, PI and SI considerations in mind.

Many companies believe they can solve EMI problems after they have built the design. It is far more efficient and cost effective to solve these problems in the early stages of design, before realisation.

Often overlooked, but of paramount importance to EMC performance is how a circuit or system returns electrical energy.

Many systems fail the EMC tests as they are not fully thought out, and some fundamental design flaws are introduced.

As well as performing the design we can advise you on the best possible ways to minimize EMC and PI/SI issues increasing the chances of success in your designs right from the start.
EMC, PI and SI are linked due to fundamental electrical engineering concepts.

With partner facilities we are able to verify EM performance as part of our design house services as well as EM simulations.

We have a proven history in successful design for EMC & PI & SI issues. We are familiar with the design requirements of many industry EMC standards (
See top of this page). For all other standards not listed, we will analyse and advise on the best approach to meet these specifications to ensure your design success for compliance. We work with both in-house and external EMC specialists to ensure product integrity.

We have designed successful flight worthy approved equipment, and systems from low noise instrumentation, mixed signal designs, high speed digital & analogue PCBs, power electronics systems, and pulsed systems, to network and communications equipment, and
all with EMC in mind.

We also have direct experience also on countermeasures for EMC phenomena, such as EMP/HEMP & LEMP (lightning). We can assist in TEMPEST analysis also, as well as extensive ESD and transient protection counter measures. We can assist with installations, and with lightning effects on installations.

We can help you pass applicable EMC legislation and help you achieve a compliant design. Our Design House services and contract design services envelope EMC as standard.

See our High Speed Digital, SI & EMC Projects page for more details on our input or contact us to see how we can help you.
